Fuller Farm is a 220-acre preserve that is a great site for bird-watching, hiking and snowshoeing. It is rated moderate in difficulty and consists of a 1.6 mile trail. Babb’s Covered Bridge
The current Babb’s Covered Bridge is a restoration of the old bridge that was burned down in 1973. The original was built in 1843. It is situated over the Presumpscot River. The replica was finished in 1976. Maine is a historical state. For this reason, there are plenty of landmarks to visit. At one point, the state had 150 covered bridges. When the MaineDOT oversaw the rebuild, they ensured that authentic methods were used.
Highland Lake spans an area of 1,401 acres. The lake has a maximum length of four miles and depth of 67 feet. The lake consists of two basins that make it an important fishing source for the town. The beach area is great for grilling, swimming and boating.
